NSC Chess Clinic

Program:
  • The NSC Chess Clinic program is for school age students interested in learning the wonderful game of chess. We cater for players of any strength. Each session will consist of some chess lessons and a tournament game.
  • Tournament games will be analysed afterwards. Lessons will cover a wide range of topics, including positional & tactical play, endgames, puzzles & tips to improve your play.
  • By attending these sessions, participants will be able to enter chess tournaments with greater skills and greater confidence, whether it be school zonals, NSC tournaments or even the Victorian Junior Championships.

Requirements:
  • Each child will be working on a tactics work book of his/her level. A charge of $10 per workbook is payable at first session attended.
  • Bring food and drinks as required.
    Please do not bring any foods containing nuts.

   Session 1: Thursday 20th October 4:00pm to 5:30pm
   Session 2: Thursday 27th October 4:00pm to 5:30pm
   Session 3: Thursday 3rd November 4:00pm to 5:30pm
   Session 4: Thursday 10th November 4:00pm to 5:30pm
   Session 5: Thursday 17th November 4:00pm to 5:30pm
   Session 6: Thursday 24th November 4:00pm to 5:30pm
   Session 7: Thursday 1st December 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Cost:
   Full term - $115.50 (GST incl.) for all 7 sessions {=$15+GST per session}
   Casual attendance - $22.00 (GST incl.) per session {=$20+GST per session}
